Clearly Maggie
Bathrooms Matter.
And I Have Thoughts About Everything Else.
I go places.
I notice things.
I have thoughts.
Lots of thoughts.
Mostly about travel.
Frequently about food.
Sometimes about anxiety, accessibility and finding a quiet place when everything around me feels a little too loud.
And an alarming amount of the time...
about bathrooms.
Because bathrooms matter.
Especially when you travel.
I explore Disney, Universal, cruises, hotels, restaurants and wherever else I happen to wander.
I notice the things that can make a trip easier, happier, less stressful or just a little more interesting.
The hidden bathroom.
The perfect snack.
The quiet corner.
The bench you desperately needed.
The restaurant worth going back to four weeks in a row.
The tiny details most people walk right past.
That's Clearly Maggie.
I go places. I notice things. And I definitely have thoughts.
Bathrooms Matter
Yes.
I review bathrooms.
Disney bathrooms. Universal bathrooms. Hotel bathrooms. Restaurant bathrooms. Cruise bathrooms.
If I find one worth talking about, we're talking about it.
Clearly... I Have Thoughts
Believe it or not, I occasionally leave the bathroom.
This is where you'll find everything else: Disney, food, cruises, travel, anxiety, quiet places and whatever else catches my attention along the way.
Bathrooms Matter.
Some people travel for the rides.
Some people travel for the food.
Some people travel for the views.
Me?
Apparently, I document the bathrooms.
And I regret nothing.
Because bathrooms matter.
Especially when you travel.
I want to know where they are.
Are they crowded?
Are they clean?
Are they quiet?
Is there a companion restroom?
Is there somewhere to sit nearby?
Is the air conditioning actually working?
And, yes...
How does it smell?
These are important questions.
What started with me noticing a few Disney bathrooms somehow turned into an actual quest.
Now I review bathrooms wherever I find them.
Welcome to Bathrooms Matter.
🏰 The Great Disney Bathroom Quest
This is where it all started.
One Disney bathroom turned into another.
And another.
And somehow I ended up on a quest to find, photograph and review the bathrooms throughout Walt Disney World.
The beautiful ones.
The hidden ones.
The chaotic ones.
The gloriously cold ones.
And the ones Disney would probably prefer I stop talking about.
I look at location, crowds, cleanliness, comfort, accessibility, companion restrooms, noise, stalls, sinks, flushers, theming and all those wonderfully weird little details.
Because at Disney World, even the bathrooms have stories.
🌌 Epic Universe Bathrooms
A brand-new theme park means brand-new rides.
Brand-new restaurants.
Brand-new lands.
And obviously...
brand-new bathrooms.
While everyone else is exploring the portals, I'm also wondering where the bathrooms are.
Are they beautiful?
Are they quiet?
Are they freezing cold?
Did Universal actually give them a theme?
And, because I am me...
How do they smell?
I'm exploring the bathrooms throughout Universal Epic Universe and reviewing all the details most people probably never think about.
Because apparently I can no longer enter a theme park without wondering where all the bathrooms are.
🚽 Random Restroom Adventures
Disney and Universal don't get to have all the bathroom fun.
Hotels.
Restaurants.
Cruise ships.
Road trips.
Random places I wander into.
If I discover a bathroom that deserves some attention, it's probably going to end up here.
Sometimes they're beautiful.
Sometimes they're weird.
Sometimes they're terrible.
And sometimes I walk in expecting absolutely nothing and find a bathroom that deserves its own standing ovation.
Those are my favorite kind of accidents.
Why Bathrooms Matter
Bathrooms aren't just a necessary stop.
For some travelers, knowing where a bathroom is can change the entire day.
A quiet bathroom can make a crowded place feel a little less overwhelming.
A companion restroom can make something difficult a whole lot easier.
Knowing about crowds, noise, accessibility, automatic flushers or even whether there's a bench nearby can matter more than people realize.
And sometimes you simply need to know where to find the bathroom with the glorious air conditioning.
I understand.
That's why I notice these things.
That's why I write about them.
Because bathrooms can affect how comfortable we feel, how long we stay and sometimes whether we go somewhere at all.
So yes, I photograph the signs.
I inspect the sinks.
I have opinions about the flushers.
And I will absolutely tell you if it smells.
Because around here...
Bathrooms Matter. 🚽✨
Clearly... I Have Thoughts
Believe it or not, I occasionally leave the bathroom.
And when I do, I still notice things.
Disney.
Cruises.
Food.
Travel.
Quiet places.
Anxiety.
Things that make a trip easier.
Things that make absolutely no sense.
And little details that probably shouldn't require an entire story...
but here we are.
I write about the places I go, the things I eat, what I love, what I don't, what surprised me and all the random thoughts that followed me home.
Some of it is helpful.
Some of it is personal.
Some of it is just something I cannot stop thinking about.
Welcome to Clearly... I Have Thoughts.

Tiny Tangents
The stories, observations and completely random thoughts that refuse to fit anywhere else.
Hi. I'm Maggie.
I'm a writer, traveler, bathroom reviewer and professional noticer of things.
I've been going to Disney World since I was three, I cruise a lot, I really like good food and I have an impressive ability to find the quietest corner of almost anywhere.
I write about the things that actually affect how a place feels.
The crowds. The bathrooms. The food. The noise. The weird little details. The things that make me anxious. And the things that make me ridiculously happy.
Basically...
I go places.
I notice things.
And then I come home and write about them.
One More Thing...
I spend a lot of time writing about the way I travel.
The things I notice.
The things that make a trip easier.
And the things I wish I'd known before I went.
Somewhere along the way, all that noticing turned into something else, too.
I'm also a travel advisor.
I became one because I realized not everyone travels the same way.
And sometimes the little things matter just as much as the destination.
So if you've been reading Clearly Maggie and thinking...
I want Maggie to help me figure this out.
I can do that, too.
